My Overview. in the end i am very happy with how my animation turned out. i wish i had added a bit more of a journey and sense of time during the saplings travels. I also wanted to refine the ending to show a lot more detail in the end it was time that held back these ideas. I am proud of some of the other assets i did add that were not in my animatic like the squirrel.

THE Squirrel a true win in my books. the next big scene i had my sapling character transition from a walk into a run when i could not accomplish this smoothly. I decided to add a break between the two walk cycles someone said that the sence lacked interest so i added a squirrel. this would act as the objective of the scene. that the character would be drawn to. i based the squirrel from the squirrel in Disney the Sword in the stone.

The Hand i still feel the perspective of hand is off and but i was happy with how the little sapling consumes the seed. The Flip i am really happy with i didn't use a reference and instead build the body shapes frame by frame. As for the back ground i didn't want a still background to ruin the illusion of the sapling in motion so i used an animated in action background. I used the Flip to transition the sapling from his house to the ground. After he land he goes into two walk cycles the first was made frame by frame and the second was another key framed walk cycle but this key frame was a useful as it allowed me to make it easy as i resize the sapling as the walks down the path.

For scene three it was broken into 3 parts the Door opening and pushing the snow then the druid walking to the shack and then a close up on his face. part1: giving door to open was harder than i though as at first i forgot the perspective of the door swinging open and showin the inside it took a lot longer than i care to mention to figure this our. As for the druid walk cycle i got a little lazy and didnt want to animate it frame by frame so i key frames over a looped walk animation and increase the druid's size to create a sense of him moving closer. as for the head getting close to the shack this was also a key framed animation.

For The Second Scene had two moving parts one after the other in my Animatic. The first was the lump of snow falling. For the lump of snow i had no issues with the animation of this as it was a simple adaption from the ball falling animation we did last semester all i needed to do was less frames as it comes to the edge of the roof then a lot of Frames as the snow falls into a lump at the base.

First Thing i worked on was the deer walk cycle i wanted for my animation. i spent the first week finding references for the deer and ended up using a Blender 3D Moose as a reference point for my deer. all i did was extenuate the leg kick back and build a smaller frame. for the Deer walk at first i struggled to get the deer to walk smoothly it felt like it was running through its walk cycle while it was gliding along. De le Ray pointed out that my key frame method was moving the deer faster than it s walk cycle and this is what was causing the issue. So i copied and added more frames to the walk cycle and animation become a lot more smooth. :
